Theme Park Guide!

Plan Your Vacation

These are some things to consider when planning a vacation to Florida.

Airport

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) has three main terminals, Terminal A, Terminal B, and Terminal C. Orlando International is approximately 20 to 30 minutes from the theme parks. Many airlines have flights in and out of Orlando International Airport. Per airport recommendations, plan to arrive at the airport for departing flights at least 2 hours prior to your flight.

The Sanford Airport (SFB) is a regional airport. It is much smaller than the Orlando International Airport, so it is easier to navigate. Alegient airline is the air provider in and out of Sanford Airport, which is about 45 minutes to 1 hour from the major theme parks.

Transportation

Taxi is still available for pick up and drop off at the airport. There are several taxi services. These are some companies offering taxi service:

  1. Mears Transportation
  2. Diamond Cab
  3. Ace Metro Cab
  4. Quick Cab
  5. Town and Country Transport

Uber and Lyft

Get the apps configured on you phone before your vacation. Uber and Lyft are able to pick up from the airport and the major theme parks. There are usually certain pick up and drop off points at the different locations. See an attendant for specific information.

FOOD

Most of your resorts will at least have a quick service restaurant. If there is a pool, they might even have a poolside grille.

A lot of guests are making use of Uber Eats, Door Dash, or other app enabled service. Other popular ideas are to use InstaCart and Amazon to order perishables and non-perishables delivered to your hotel/resort. Keep in mind most hotels do not have storage space for perishables that are delivered when you are not present, so be prepared to accept the items when delivered.
